Plumber in Malvern East

Malvern East is mostly family homes, from post-war houses to newer townhouses, and much of the original plumbing is still in the ground. We're based just over in Glen Iris, so we're often in Malvern East for blocked sewers and stormwater, hot water replacements, leaking toilets and taps, and roof leaks around skylights and chimneys. If you've just bought, we can also check the hot water, drains and fixtures so you know what you're taking on. Every job comes with a photo report.

What we fix in Malvern East

Hot water replacements

Many Malvern East homes still have an ageing gas storage unit. We replace it with a storage or continuous-flow system, upgrade the gas line if needed and set the temperature correctly.

Skylight and chimney leaks

Skylights and chimneys without proper flashings are common entry points for water. We install flashings and seal the joins so the leak stops.

Blocked and broken sewers

Older sewer lines crack, shift and block. We jet and camera the line, then replace damaged sections so the problem doesn't keep coming back.

Stormwater pits that hold water

Some properties have pits that pool instead of draining. We fix the pits, redirect downpipes and clear stormwater lines so water gets to the street.

Malvern East plumbing questions answered

Should I replace my old gas storage unit with continuous flow?

Often, yes, if the unit is inside and near the end of its life. We recently replaced an internal gas storage unit in Malvern East with a Rinnai 26 continuous-flow unit and a new 32 mm gas line from the meter.

Can you check the plumbing in a house I've just bought?

Yes. We check the hot water and tempering valve, toilets and in-wall cisterns, taps and visible pipework, and can camera the drains so you know their condition.

Why does my toilet gurgle?

Gurgling usually means the drain is partly blocked or not venting properly. We jet and camera the line to find the cause and fix it.
